Chincoteague is very famous for its ponies, and we saw them reasonably close to the road on several occasions. This particular time, there were a number of Cattle Egrets that were with them, often landing on them. Most of the time the horses were bunched up together, and looking away from us, or the birds were not in a good position for a shot. But after waiting for a half-hour or so, I finally got one shot with one of the ponies by itself, in a favorable position, and the egret actually cooperated as well!
